I’m feeling distressed
I’m feeling dismayed
I’m feeling decidedly weird
I’m afraid

I looked in the mirror
Expecting a hat
But instead, on my head
Was a black and white cat!

Now, if I ask nicely
Please don’t be misled
But does anyone know
Why there’s a cat on my head?

Maybe she’s hungry
And needs to be fed
Does anyone know

Is she feeling sleepy
And wanting a bed?
Does anyone know

She could sit in her
Lovely soft basket instead
Does anyone know
Why there’s a cat on my head?

As headwear goes
I suppose this one’s fine;
It’s not a cap
It’s a furry feline!

It seems a bit odd
It has to be said
You see…. NOBODY KNOWS
